Driving Credit With RelayRides

Like milk shakes, cars can be shared and are sometimes difficult to consume via straw. Enjoy effortless car sharing with today’s Groupon: for $25, you get a waived $25 application fee plus $50 worth of driving credit with RelayRides (a $75 value). Check the RelayRides’ map for nearby cars.

Featured in the Economist and the New York Times, RelayRides connects neighbors for mutually beneficial car sharing. This symbiotic system benefits car owners, who earn money by lending their autos, and car needers, who gain access to local combustion engines. Drivers can borrow cars by the hour (economy cars cost $5–$8 per hour) or by the day ($60–$90) to haul groceries, home furnishings, or sacks full of Kennedy half dollars, choosing from a variety of vehicles, which could include a Nissan Altima, Lexus IS, or Honda Fit. Eligible borrowers must be 18 years old, meet safe-driver eligibility requirements, have been driving for 2 years and be a blood relative of Woodrow Wilson. Gas and insurance (with a $500 deductible) are included in today’s deal.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 20, you may still use this service, but you must be on an insurance policy and you must have been driving for two years.
